Additionally, we need to renew our yoga school certificate once a year. We use several tools and software to provide such an awesome experience to our students. Members of our staff are available at all times to provide you with a hand as well. They are a great asset when using our website to book the course. For this reason, we have instituted a $299 booking fee to cover the costs of running the entire system. You only need to make this payment for the course once. On Arrival

Our ashram vehicle brings you from the Dehradun Airport for free. After arrival, the first thing you can do is take a refreshment; take some fruits/snacks/tea, and complete your registration. Yoga Asana

Yoga asanas can help with the recovery and management of many common diseases and disorders. These classes will provide students with an introduction to the anatomy and pathology of common health issues that can be dealt through diet, asana, and pranayama practice.

There are five key categories of asanas that will be covered in this course, they are standing poses, forward bends, backbends, twists, and inversions. The trainee will be encouraged to practice essential poses in each category. Along with practicing the poses, trainees are also educated about its benefits and functions.

Asana Practice

Mantra & Mudra

These types of practices are especially of interest to yoga teachers, as they tap into the more subtle forms of using yoga for healing. In meditation/yoga, we sometimes make use of mantras and/or mudras. Mantras are words or phrases that can be repeated aloud or to oneself with the rhythm of the breath, and mudras are the use of the hands to focus the brain. What makes mantras and mudras of such interest to yogis are how they tap into the parts of the body that can be most effective for promoting healing. Thus, mantras and mudras help link physical actions to the functioning of the mind. In yoga, mantras are chanted or repeated silently. When chanted or spoken aloud, we activate the healing capacities of connecting the brain to the mouth, lips, and tongue. Even if repeated silently, mantras can help focus the mind during meditation.

  • There will be an initiation ceremony to the yoga tradition on the first day of the course. After taking a shower every student has to dress in white and join the opening ceremony. You will be taken thru an amazing experience. Gayatri initiation with energy transmission called shaktipat will be given. From this day you will be deeply connected to the yoga tradition.
  • It has been stated what without the shaktipat one is not eligible to get the higher knowledge on yoga.


Given the concentration of nerve endings in the hands and fingers, using them in meditation is said to be the most effective body-based yoga style to improve brain function. It also makes mudras one of the most accessible forms of asana, given the undeniably physical aspect of the practice.

Once we have introduced mantas or mudras to youth next step is putting them together. Mantras and mudras are well known in yoga, but it’s their therapeutic effects where they really stand out. Ultimately, mantras and mudras are simple and highly accessible tools to deepen the yoga experience.


Kriya sessions include both basic Kriya and advance kriyas( For Advanced Students only) as explained and practiced by ancient yogi to cleanse body and mind for the Yoga Sadhana. The main benefits of all the kriya is to eliminate toxins and to expand the life span of the cells and organs.

One can adapt the suitable kriyas before starting regular Asana and pranayama practice in the early morning time with specific intervals and duration.


Kundalini yoga involves specific movements, breathing, concentration, meditation, contemplation, philosophy, awakening and takes you to a different plane! One gets physical wellbeing, improved flexibility, mental and emotional strength and clarity, an experience of inner joy, fearlessness, mindfulness, and self-awareness. You will be given a short introduction to Kundalini Yoga.


In Sanskrit, Ayurveda means ‘science of life. It is one of the world’s oldest healing systems which is based on the fact that a person’s mental, emotional, and spiritual being are all interconnected and diseases or issues occur only due to imbalance between them. The ayurvedic system believes in removing the root causes of diseases through certain lifestyle interventions and natural therapies. How your day looks like

Daily Schedule

The daily schedule for a yoga teacher training program in Rishikesh might begin as early as 5.30 to 6 in the morning and finish by 8 to 10 in the evening. You are kept occupied the entire day with challenging yoga sessions under the direction of yoga experts, theoretical lessons to complement it, and other such activities. When you enroll in this course, your housing needs are taken care of in addition to the course schedule, allowing you to concentrate more on the 500 Hour YTTC. Only those students who enroll in the yoga course are given accommodations by Vinyasa Yoga Academy. All classes are mandatory. Only in the case of an emergency or illness can one take leave with a respected teacher’s permission. Uninformed leaves won’t be accepted and will affect students’ monthly performance.


  • Be self-motivated and self-disciplined to fully enjoy the course 
  • Before you join, prepare your body and mind for this big journey. 
  • It is mandatory to attend all of the classes and activities 
  • Do not harass or harm any other students. 
  • Misconduct and misbehavior will not be allowed or tolerated.

Principles And Guidelines

  • We are a traditional and authentic Vinyasa Yoga school in Rishikesh. 
  • Class starts in the early morning and goes until evening. There will be a short break during and after each meal. 
  • Respect everyone inside and outside the campus. 
  • There is no refund of the course after you join. Advance deposit is also non-refundable but it can be used during another month if you need to change the time of your course. 
  • If you skip any meal please inform the reception at least 3 hours before. 
  • Non vegetarian food, smoking, and drinking alcohol are not allowed on the Vinyasa Yoga Academy premises.

General Rules

  • Modest dressing is mandatory on the premises. 
  • Silence should be maintained after 8 pm. 
  • Regular homework should be completed. 
  • All classes are mandatory to attend. 
  • Bring one pair of white clothes for the welcome Ceremony 
  • As a part of the evaluation procedure, there will be a final exam, both theoretical and practical. 
  • Vinyasa Yoga Academy reserves the right to disqualify any students at any time during the TTC for misconduct or breaking the rules.

Life changing experience! I have traveled the world over my 58 years on this earth and never experienced this deep, thought provoking guidance. I just wanted to improve my yoga practice.
